We are seeking a Whānau Ora Practice Nurse to join our healthcare team at Te Au Rere A Te Tonga (Youth Justice Facility). The registered nurse must have a desire to work with young people, be compassionate and have sound clinical nursing and inter-personal skills. Experience in mental health is desirable.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Whānau Ora clinical Nurse care.
  • Conduct health assessments, develop and implement individualised care plans.
  • Provide health promotion including sexual education.
  • Support Young People with ongoing health conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with other health professionals, kaimahi from partner agencies, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive and holistic care.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with professional and legal standards.
  • Undertake required administrative tasks.


Requirements

  • Registered Nurse qualification.
  • Experience in clinical primary care nursing (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
