We are seeking a Whānau Ora Practice Nurse to join our healthcare team at Te Au Rere A Te Tonga (Youth Justice Facility). The registered nurse must have a desire to work with young people, be compassionate and have sound clinical nursing and inter-personal skills. Experience in mental health is desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Whānau Ora clinical Nurse care.
- Conduct health assessments, develop and implement individualised care plans.
- Provide health promotion including sexual education.
- Support Young People with ongoing health conditions.
- Work collaboratively with other health professionals, kaimahi from partner agencies, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive and holistic care.
- Maintain accurate records in line with professional and legal standards.
- Undertake required administrative tasks.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse qualification.
- Experience in clinical primary care nursing (preferred but not essential).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
