Our Network

THINK Hauora works with a network of 30 General Practice Teams across the Manawatū, Ōtaki, Horowhenua and Tararua districts to service a population of 180,000 people.

Our district is supported by strong General Practice teams of clinical health professionals. Our small rural-based and boutique practices and larger Integrated Family Health Centres collaborate across informal and collegial business relationships to maintain service delivery across our network and our region also boasts one of the highest concentrations of nurse practitioners per head of population working in secondary and primary care.
Within the MidCentral district, there is scope to grow responsive primary care services for the needs of our population and communities.

We have a strong alliance across our health sector. This is evident through the active collaboration of the MidCentral District Health Board, THINK Hauora and our network of General Practice teams for the benefit our populations.

Network Sustainability

THINK Hauora is committed to a sustainable General Practice network.

General Practices throughout the rōhe are supported by overarching business and clinical support including Health Care Home model integration, practice management systems integration, telehealth service delivery, and the provision of data-driven regional, community and practice-level knowledge and insights.

Living and Working in our District
