The Role
We are seeking an experienced and values-driven People and Culture Manager to help shape the future of THINK Hauora. This permanent role offers the flexibility to work either 0.8 or 1.0 FTE, providing an opportunity to bring your expertise to a senior leadership role in a way that works for you.
This is an influential role responsible for leading our Human Resources, Learning and Development and Payroll functions, while helping shape our health, safety and wellbeing culture as part of our Health and Safety Leadership Team. Working closely with the Chief Executive, Senior Leadership Team and managers across the organisation, you will build organisational capability, strengthen culture, support workforce development and enable our people to deliver exceptional outcomes for our communities.
You will lead a multidisciplinary team and play a key role in shaping and delivering people strategies, workforce initiatives and organisational development programmes that support THINK Hauora’s long-term success.
What you'll do:
- Lead the development and delivery of THINK Hauora's People Plan.
- Partner with leaders to build workforce capability, leadership effectiveness and organisational performance.
- Oversee recruitment, employee engagement and employee relations activities.
- Champion a positive, inclusive and values-led workplace culture.
- Lead organisational development and change management initiatives.
- Support and advise managers on employment relations, performance management and workforce planning.
- Oversee learning and development programmes that support both THINK Hauora and the wider primary care workforce.
- Promote and support a strong health, safety and wellbeing culture.
- Ensure robust payroll, employment and compliance systems are in place and operating effectively
About you:
- You are an experienced People and Culture or Human Resources leader with a strong track record of influencing organisational performance and culture.
- You are a strategic thinker who can translate organisational priorities into practical people initiatives.
- You have strong employment relations and workforce development expertise.
- You are confident providing advice and coaching to senior leaders and managers.
- You have excellent relationship-building, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- You bring sound judgement, resilience and the ability to navigate complex people matters.
- You are passionate about developing people, supporting wellbeing and creating inclusive workplaces.
- You understand and respect the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and are committed to advancing equity in outcomes for people and communities
