Welcome to the Pasifika team, my name is Saane Ma’u and I am one of the Pasifika Community Clinical Nurses. I am Tongan and happily supporting the wider Pasifika community in our region MidCentral with any health issues.

My role is to support Pasifika people living with LTC (long-term conditions) such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart conditions, asthma, arthritis, emphysema, mental health conditions.

• Education given to live effectively with your conditions, mainly helping you to look after yourself better.
• Referrals to other health professionals to support with your conditions or any health issues that need further investigation.
• Supporting Tongan community with interpreting when dealing with their General Practice, specialists, and other health-related appointments.
