We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our amazing team. Cook Street Health Centre is a quality general practice, has Foundation Standard Certification and Cornerstone Accreditation, with a focus on equity.

We have a dedicated team of 4 GPs, 2 NPs, 4 Primary Health Care Nurses, 1 Health Care Assistant, 1 Practice Administrator, 4 Receptionists and 1 Chief Executive.

We are looking for an experienced part-time Registered Nurse to work 16 hours a week:

Monday 8.30am – 5.00pm, Tuesday 8.30am – 12.30pm, and Wednesday 8.30am – 12.30pm.

• Assessment/triage
• Acute Care
• Long term condition management
• Promoting health and wellbeing through patient self-management support, education, advice and support
• Immunisations
• Cannulation
• Wound care assessment and management
• Phone and patient portal assessment, care and support
• Women’s health
• Sexual health
• Clinical administration

Do you have what we are looking for?

• A passion for primary health care and preferably previous experience in general practice
• A current New Zealand practising certificate
• Current CPR certificate
• Authorised vaccinator letter – working towards completion or current
• Completed cervical screening training
• Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi/Treaty of Waitangi
• Willing to continually learn and improve
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient computer skills
