The Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate General Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives while working in a well-resourced, progressive practice environment.



Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a general practice setting
  • Perform health assessments, immunisations, wound care, chronic disease management, and triage
  • Support health promotion and education initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with GPs, Nurse Practitioners, and other health professionals
  • Ensure care is delivered in a culturally safe and respectful manner, in line with Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles



About You

  • Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
  • Hold a valid Annual Practising Certificate
  • Proven experience in primary health or general practice (preferred)
  • Skilled in patient education and chronic condition management
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Demonstrates cultural competency and an understanding of the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Committed to equitable health outcomes for Māori and all patients
  • Vaccinator certification and cervical smear taker certification (advantageous)
