About You:

If you are a customer centric individual who understands the importance of communicating clearly, and you have previous experience of working in a busy environment with a focus on customer satisfaction, we would love to hear from you.


What will set you apart, is your natural approach to assisting patients and internal staff, ability to receive visitors / staff, a polite and helpful telephone manner and ability to genuinely be resourceful, work independently and flex to what’s required. 


You will have well-rounded interpersonal skills to relate to members of the public and your colleagues. You will need to be a good listener, be able to answer queries promptly and adapt your behaviours to engage with callers whilst always showing patience, sensitivity and confidentiality.


You will be supported by a Team Leader and your colleagues, and you will be a quick learner and seek out answers. 

So, what is this role all about? 

  • Being the face of HCP and ensuring the patient’s experience is positive.
  • Work with your team to ensure the smooth running of reception and support the delivery of quality patient care. 
  • Play a pivotal role in the patient and whānau experience and have a direct impact on the Practice’s ability to provide effective patient care. 
  • Actively engage in respectful relationships with all patients and their support networks to encourage participation in the delivery of care. 
  • Patients will feel heard, have their queries answered promptly, will be shown patience, sensitivity and confidentiality.
  • You will be required to work across reception, receive inbound calls, make patient bookings, and carry out general administrative duties. 
  • The internal focus is liaison with staff and communication of patient expectations, needs and any other issues that require attention.
