About the opportunity:
We are looking for a passionate Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP) to join our integrated Long‑Term Conditions (LTC) team.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you will work alongside individuals, whānau, and communities to support confidence, function, and sustainable lifestyle change. You will deliver safe, progressive physical activity interventions as part of a shared plan of care, working closely with nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, general practice teams, and community providers.
The role involves a mix of group‑based programmes, individual support, and community‑based delivery, helping people transition towards long‑term self‑management and improved wellbeing.
What you will do:
- Deliver individual and group‑based physical activity interventions for people living with long‑term conditions
- Complete clinical assessment, monitoring, and evaluation during supported activity
- Contribute specialist exercise physiology expertise within a multidisciplinary team
- Support people to build confidence and transition to independent, sustainable movement
- Work closely with General Practice Teams and community providers to support integrated care
- Promote equitable access to services, particularly for Māori and other priority populations
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to service improvement initiatives
About you
You are motivated, people‑centred, and passionate about supporting meaningful lifestyle change. You enjoy working as part of a team and are comfortable delivering care in community and group settings.
You will have:
- A relevant qualification in Clinical Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or a related field
- Experience delivering exercise prescription or lifestyle interventions, ideally with long‑term conditions
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse communities
- An understanding of equity‑focused and culturally safe practice
- The ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- A full, clean driver’s licence
