Tēnā koutou katoa,

Ko Muaūpoko raua ko Ngāti Raukawa ki te Tonga oku iwi.

I started my clinical practice in 1995 as an Alcohol and Drug Counsellor with MidCentral Health, trained in Kaupapa Māori models of practice with Paraire Huata. I then was trained in Dual Diagnosis and moved to Mental Health working then for Rangitāne Iwi. I became a Lecturer at UCOL then Te Wananga o Aotearoa over 5 years. I worked in Tararua for 15 years on and off with Manawatū Supporting families, facilitating CBT Depression and Anxiety groups.

I am fortunate to now be part of The Tūturu Service - True to your authentic self, and hope to support in anyway that Ashleigh and Skye find worthwhile. I bring with me a life history of knowing very little about life in Aotearoa for people whose gender is not the same as the one assigned at birth, but I am fortunate to have great teachers alongside of me with Ashleigh and Skye. I do not get it right all the time, but my intention is to be a better person.
