The Project Manager will lead the implementation and establishment of a General Practice (GP) Team business unit within YOSS, ensuring effective integration into the broader organisation and alignment with youth-centred principles. This role includes project management, clinical planning and delivery, stakeholder engagement, service enrolment management and the line management of the administration team.
This is a fixed term position for one year with some flexibility on the number of hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management & implementation
- Lead the setup, and operational launch of the new General Practice Team within YOSS.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive project plan, including timelines, outputs, milestones, risk management, and evaluation strategies.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure integration with existing YOSS services.
- Coordinate readiness and IT system integration, including PMS
2. Service Development & delivery
- Define service delivery models aligned with youth-friendly care and primary health standards that ensures a positive patient experience and maintains safety and quality
- Establish clinical workflows, protocols and processes in collaboration with clinical leads.
- Flexibility to cover registered nursing practice scope and clinical care as back-fill when required
3. Enrolment management
- Develop and manage systems for young people enrolling, including eligibility criteria, documentation, and follow-up procedures.
- Monitor enrolment trends and service utilisation to inform strategic planning and funding opportunities.
- Develop internal and external communications
4. Leadership & team management
- Line manage the administrative team supporting the GP business unit, including rostering, supervision, performance management, and professional development.
- Support a positive, inclusive, and youth-centred team culture.
- Line manage administrative team and health team performance aligned to project plan
5. Stakeholder engagement & reporting
- Build relationships with funders, community partners, and service users
- Prepare weekly reports and updates for YOSS leadership using client data and financial information

Person Specification
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with current practicing certificate (New Zealand)
- Postgraduate qualification in health management, project management, or a related field (desirable)
Experience
- Significant project management experience in a healthcare setting
- Proven experience in primary care, youth health, or general practice services
- Leadership experience managing staff teams, particularly administrative
- Experience with PMS systems (e.g., Medtech Evolution)
