Wanted: 21st century community-based general specialist aka General Practitioner - preferably a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners or equivalent.

We also carry out research around the drivers of poor health and interventions that will improve health.
- We have a project looking at the relationship of social exclusion and the management of type 2 diabetes and another looking at ways of addressing poverty in our community.
- We also have a leading edge programme underway to develop new technologies to help us with patient diagnostics and data use integrated into patient management systems. This programme will also look at the convergence of many disciplines and how they can work together to create better health for our communities.
