THINK Hauora (formally Central PHO) provides primary healthcare services to the MidCentral DHB population. We are funded by the Ministry of Health and the DHB and have a focus on, ‘Connecting Communities for Wellbeing’.  Today, THINK Hauora has a core staff of up to 135, employed within the MidCentral region.

Within Clinical Quality sits the Te Ara Rau A&C team – accredited Primary Mental Health Clinicians located throughout the rōhe.  Following the success of the Integrated Primary Mental Health and Addiction Services Request for Proposal submission, Te Ara Rau A&C is now growing into the full potential of the whakāro behind their name, “The Path of Unlimited Possibilities”. This highly dedicated and responsive team provides integrated approaches to empower individuals and whānau to overcome life’s challenges. The team is evolving and committed to improving wellbeing outcomes for priority populations.

Due to the success of the Integrated Primary Mental Health & Addiction Services Proposal, THINK Hauora is seeking to appoint a Project Manager to execute the roll out of the new Te Ara Rau Access and Choice model throughout the rōhe.  This is an opportunity to be part of a project that will directly impact the community – it will be rewarding and you will be making an imapct.  This role is a Fixed Term Contract. 

Reporting to the Director, Te Ara Rau, this role will see you supported by a Project Coordinator so you can completely project manage and act as the chief project authority and point of contact for all project service related matters. In return, we require a meticulous roll out of the new service.

As an experienced Project Manager, you will bring a clear and confident understanding of project management techniques, processes and proficient use of project management tools to pick up this project and positively deliver it.  The 12 months ahead, will be a whirlwind of activity and will draw upon your project management acumen, the ability to gently influence, negotiate and drive positive project activity.  Your calm and unflappable approach won’t go amiss.

What will set you apart is your minimum of 5 years proven NZ project management experience, up-to-date mental health experience and/or a mental health qualification. Equally important will be an ease to communicate with multi-faceted stakeholders, cultural awareness and an ability to cut through complicated data and translate it into simple terms.
