Central PHO (trading as THINK Hauora) provides health services across Palmerston North, Manawatu, Tararua, Horowhenua and Otaki communities. THINK Hauora works with general practices and community health service providers, and supports core alliances with MidCentral District Health Board, Te Tihi o Ruahine and Raukawa Whānau Ora.

THINK Hauora 2019–2025 Strategy takes a broad view of health, recognising the connectivity between health and other aspects of people’s lives. While grounded in primary health care provision, THINK Hauora aspires to ‘connect communities for wellbeing’. We are committed to Te Tiriti O Waitangi.

THINK Hauora is seeking to engage a Clinical Quality (CQ) Director to support the Chief Executive, based in Palmerston North, to achieve our new Strategy.  The CQ Director will work with varied stakeholders to drive, develop and utilise information to meet current and future strategic outcomes.

The key focus areas this role combines are leadership, relationship management, strategic planning, operational performance and quality improvement. In partnership with the Clinical Board Chair you will be responsible for the Clinical Board activities as determined by the THINK Hauora Board.

Your reputation and work experience will put you in good stead to take hold of this opportunity and achieve high levels of service delivery and clinical excellence.   You will actively pursue professional development opportunities and ensure clinical practice meets all statutory guidelines and legislative requirements.

What will set you apart is your proven leadership experience, current clinical knowledge and guidance, strategic focus, ability to identify opportunities and meet the Board expectations.  Having operated at a similar level, you will naturally have proven reporting skills both written and verbal with the ability to prioritise and time manage your work programme.  Colleagues will describe you as considerate, trustworthy, action focussed and respectful.

In return, THINK Hauora offers a commitment to ongoing professional development, competitive remuneration, and an opportunity to contribute to the quality and wellbeing outcomes for the THINK Hauora community.

Have we sparked your interest? If so, please send your current resume and cover letter to vacancies@thinkhauora.nz.
