Horowhenua Community Practice (HCP), Levin is located within Horowhenua Health Centre. The practice is owned by Central Primary Health Organisation (trading as THINK Hauora), and can be described as a busy, fast-paced general practice with up to 30 employees / visiting practitioners. We offer a range of clinical services to the Horowhenua community and consider our Practice to be innovative and forward thinking.
HCP is now seeking its next Practice Manager to drive and focus on the operations of the practice. We are seeking an exceptional operational leader that will bring people management together with financial knowledge and process improvement.
Ideally, you will come from a health background. Perhaps you are already a Practice Manager or from Middle Management, where you have focused not so much on the strategic direction but have been on the shop floor responsible for the people management, making key recruitment decisions, Human Resources and importantly, financials. This exciting role is operational, managing a varied professional team and you will be a representative of THINK Hauora.
The three key areas of this position will focus on the daily operational activities based on patient services underpinned by the HCP annual business plan, mirroring the THINK Hauora framework and strategic direction, financial management and people management. You will describe your management style as inclusive, collaborative, and relational. You will make key decisions, write policies, build strong internal and external relationships with THINK Hauora, key agencies and the community, drive accreditation requirements and have a talent for developing robust systems and processes such as Health & Safety.
